Oh, let’s get this over with; ABS-CBN’s Family Feud vs GMA’s Usapang Real Love. First off, the former.
The Philippine version of the FremantleMedia-produced show, Family Feud, which is being broadcast on ABS-CBN (also, a triple crown program since its had also aired on ABC 5 now TV5 and GMA) is expected to live up to ABC 5 (TV5) and GMA’s standards, but instead, it came to our attention another weakness regarding this broadcaster (following the teleserye problem and the resulting consequences); too much celebrity involvement! In a few if not many episodes I observed, celebrities are dominating the show. Perhaps their tactic was in line with the other game shows the network aired, to say as the least, The Singing Bee and Kapamilya Deal or No Deal! They should have at least involved the general public (or in line with the show, real-life families)!
And don’t forget GMA, who will send Usapang Real Love into the field. As the first “interactive romantic-comedy” (rom-com thereafter) series, it will star GMA’s couples (love teams thereafter as per entertainment parlance) alongside a chosen video entry submitted by netizens via social media. While I must praise on the innovative side of the program (specifically the interactive aspect but had to be in doubt), I think that their love team gauging had to be overlooked in particular. But that’s all I have to say right now in regards to this program (I’m citing “more observation needed for a sound analysis”). Screw you, Lilybeth Rasonable!!
Whatever any incoming circumstance time could bring, Usapang Real Love’s first week could be perhaps their best bet. It’s back to you, my friend.
